thinglets: Korg: 70,000BC

Perhaps the lamest Hanna Barbera show ever (and as much as I loved a lot of their stuff, they did have some stinkers). This show was kind of like Wild Kingdom cut with shots of B-actors in skins. And all this glory was narrated by Burgess Meredith, the Penguin in the original Batman series and Mickey from Rocky.

I am glad that you have a picture and video of me on your home page. my name is Christopher Man and I have starred on that show for 35 years.I have gotten hundreds of letters and "korg:70,000BC" is still being shown in 80 countries.Thank you for saying stupid things and I am happy for you that you think that the actors were "B" Actors on that show.I am not a "B" actor. I began my Career at the age of 8 years old in NYC on Broadway and recieved favorable comments from Critics like Vincent Canby , Rex Reed, and other NY Critics. I have worked on many TV Shows, Movies,Commercials, and I am very happy that many of the shows like"Happy Days","Barnaby Jones", "Marcus Welby",and "Korg:70,000BC" has been re-edited from16 shows and there is a movie version on DVD. I am still receiving royaltys and the last check came from Warner Brothers. So thank you for spelling my name right.Keep watching TV or buy the DVD or there is even a Poster of me as a teenage caveman eating an ice cream cone that has a caption on the bottom that says "So easy even a caveman can lick it" The first 100 people who send an e-mail to themanactingchannel @youtube.com will be eligable to win a free poster. there is a deadline, so e-mail me at youtube before December 31,2010.It is soooo simple even you can have a Poster for free,Christopher Man
First of all, if you really are Christopher Man who played in this series, I apologize for the spelling of the name, but quite frankly, I got it information from another site. It will be corrected.

Second, while I didn't refer to anyone in particular being a B-actor, unless you're willing to claim that a 16 episode, 70s Saturday morning effort excludes everyone on the cast from the assertion, I'd suggest you check your comment about me saying "stupid things". Many actors made great livings from playing in B-pictures and, by definition, the time slot, subject matter, and audience, hardly uphold the idea that this was an A-list show. If you take the claim of B-actors as a slight instead of a matter of circumstance, your comments are an insult to all of those who make their livings doing such roles their entire lives.

I do not doubt your credits or even expertise on stage or on other shows. Suffice to say, its cult following and popularity aside, if you cannot see that Korg 70,000 BC is a goofy and cheesy end product that, even done with the best of intentions, is not (nor has ever been) a tour de force, you are taking yourself and the show too seriously.

I really enjoyed this show growing up, and fully admit that most of what I watched watched as a kid was really goofy and wacky stuff. I do not regret enjoying the show, and I would hope that if someone is taking the time to mention a 16 episode, 35 year-old series at all, you would be at least happy it's tripping the light fantastic on the fringes of the retro pop culture zeitgeist. As such, I do not regret making the comments in the original post.

That said, I really doubt you are Christopher Man, because the Youtube channel you refer to does not exist. If however, the inaccurate referral was simply a mistake and your claim is authentic, or, if anyone else wishes to disagree with an opinion on lovehatethings, rest assured, I am willing to admit error, but also willing to defend a position I believe correct.

Thanks for reading.
