Stephen Harper did his best Oprah today.
"Our party wants to see an elected Senate . . . and the only way we can do that is to have the elected government make appointments," Foreign Affairs Minister, John Baird said... Huh!?!
The first podcast in what is sure to be an eventful six months of a political campaign that I plan to have the time of my life with.
All I can say, have said, will say, is cool! So very cool. I'm thinking that perhaps the only way I could live in the 10' Cube I posted about yesterday is if it had the same interior properties as the Tardis. Physics be damned!
As much as I'm an advocate for the idea that we probably do not need as much space as we have to comfortably live, I can tell you that, being a big guy, a 10' x 10' cube doesn't work for me. After taking a look at the amenities in the proposed utilitarian housing model, I'm wondering who it would work for. Definitely not great for families. Perhaps a new alternative to Las Vegas accommodations. One could drop a cube on the back of their van and drive around the country in this makeshift permahome. Ikea should sell the kit.
Mike Vardy joins me (as we're sharing a hotel room) to talk about the Northern Voice 2011 Conference in Vancouver.
A little sonic psychedelia for your enjoyment on lovehatethings whilst I spend some time in Vancouver.
Just a simple series of questions to lead you to a font that is NOT Comic Sans. Do many of the fonts look similar to you? There's a reason for that: they're readable without making me want to dash my head in. Sound like I'm exaggerating? I once had to mark a class set of senior high school essays, of which, 5 of 30 were printed in Comic Sans. Strangely enough, all girls.
