Some insects called the human race.
Lost in time and lost in space
And meaning."

Great shot of lightning in my hometown the other night during a weather event they were loathe to call a tornado, but had at least a dozen other tags ascribed to it.
I seem to remember the following names (in a foggy haze):
1) The Thunder torn Asunder
2) Reign of Rain
3) The Holy Shitstorm
4) Rumble without a Cause
5) Electric Dreams
6) A Shocking Development
7) Break out the Sump Pump Gertrude!
8) Hell Comes to the Hammer
9) Breaking Wind
10) The Great Shingle Harvest of '11
I also dug the image of the pin saying "Poverty is a Weapon of Mass Destruction". It reminded me of my favourite song by Faithless.
If there's any doubt that I'm a fon of fants... wait... is that right? Anyway, when I visited the MOMA in NYC a few years ago, I remember loving that walking through the design exhibits, they had the wall of Helvetica. That said, since I'm digging infographics as well, here's a mashup of these two likes into a pic that someone else painstakingly took the time to construct. And I thank them.

I've blogged about the Mashup Maestro DJ Girl Talk several times before. Here's a very cool look at the pieces that went into making one track from his Feed The Animals CD called "What's It All About". I've included the tracking graphic above and the YouTube clip below so you can listen while you trace the path from beginning to end ala Jeffy or Billy in Family Circus.
Absolutely gripping time lapse video of Manhattan that makes me want to go back to NYC soon. I watched it three times in a row - in fullscreen HD mind you - and saw new things every time. Another great Vimeo moment.
"Toast is bread that has been browned by exposure to radiant heat. This browning reaction is known as the Maillard reaction. Toasting warms the bread and makes it firmer, so it holds toppings more securely. Toasting is a common method of making stale bread more palatable." - wikipedia.org
While I realize the style of this video may be seizure-inducing for some people, S.I.T.E compresses some of humanity's worst alien, dystopian fears into five minutes or less. Creepy, cool, and captivating: give this video a chance beyond the first couple of minutes and allow things to come together. I'm half convinced I'll be subliminally craving Hot Pockets sometime this evening.
